CEGIS is a Public Trust and a center of excellence established by the Government of Bangladesh in May 2002 under the Ministry of Water Resources. It is a not-for-profit organization governed by a Board of Trustees. CEGIS brings together experienced professionals, experts, and modern resources and technology to provide high-quality intellectual services in the field of natural resource management, planning, system development, research and capacity building. The organization is committed to promoting a green environment, healthy water resources, and balanced development for the well-being of the nation.
As the Chairperson of the CEGIS Board of Trustees since February 2026, I am privileged to guide the organization into a new era of excellence. I am pleased to support CEGIS in delivering high-quality services and achieving its vision through innovation, professionalism, and dedication.
I hope CEGIS will continue to serve the community and fulfill its social responsibilities through its knowledge-based services and meaningful contributions. I also believe that CEGIS will continue to grow, embrace new challenges, and play an important role in building a prosperous Bangladesh while strengthening its engagement with the global community.
